Supported platforms

For small to large organizations—the PDP technology runs on any computer operating system that supports a modern web browser including Windows, Macintosh, Linux and more.

Technology requirements

• Internet Connection: PDPworks.com is a lightweight site, a connection of 28.8 kb/s or faster is required. Broadband performs best, but is not required.
• Browser: A fully functional "Modern" Internet browser version 6 or newer.
• Operating System: If it supports a modern web browser, any operating system will work (includes Windows, Macintosh, Linux and more).
• Additional Software and Services: Reports can be generated for printing or future use in a PDF format. This format requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, a free software download from Adobe (www.adobe.com/acrobat). Additionally, email service that will accept attachments is needed to receive these printable reports.
• Fully functional POP or IMAP e-mail client program or Microsoft Outlook for MAPI connections to Exchange server.

Site operations

• Server Redundancy: Server redundancy is currently in phase two with multiple servers in two locations. Subsequent phases will begin in a geographic balancing of the service, adding a redundancy of locations.
• Data center host: PDPworks servers are hosted by a highly reputable colocation business providing 99.9% uptime, technical reliability and 24x7x365 support. Selection factors of colocation include—security (hardened physical location and constant monitored data connection), power (redundant power distribution units, a true earth ground, multiple connection points to the city grid, refillable backup generator), data connection (no fewer than 10 separate providers through two distinct connection points consisting of an array of OC-48 lines—equivalent to approximately 1500 T1 connections).

Web application and data security

PDP utilizes SSL encryption for the entire web application with exception to the Help and User Guide pages that do not contain any client information. For Gold & Silver Level Licensed Clients, the ecommerce is handled by a third party gateway processor, LinkPoint® Secure Payment Gateway.
